Jerry M. Engle attended high school in Muskegon, MI, before graduating from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. He received his law degree from the University of Arizona Law School in 1972.
He was an assistant prosecutor for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office from the fall of 1972 until the end of December 1975. He then became a partner in the Law Firm of Filip, Engle and Grant, and joined with attorney Wendell E. Jacobs, Jr. in January 1977 to form the law firm of Jacobs & Engle.
Jerry Engle is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Jackson County Bar Association (past president), and the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan.
He has handled thousands of both felony and misdemeanor cases and tried hundreds of jury trials.
